Montana Conservation Voters’ Executive Director Clayton Elliott’s statement on Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s submission of his Antiquities Act Review to President Trump. Information made publicly available proposes to shrink an undetermined number of National Monuments by an undetermined amount in undetermined ways.

“When I go out to fish, hunt, or float, I can’t think of anywhere better to be than on America’s public lands. Unfortunately, Secretary Zinke made clear today that he’s intent on attacking our public lands and dismissive of those of us who worry about backroom schemes to sell off or transfer our public lands. MCV helped over 5,000 Montanans submit their thoughts and concerns about Secretary Zinke’s review of the Antiquities Act. It’s disappointing he no longer seems interested in listening to his former constituents.”
