Twenty-one MCV-endorsed candidates successful in campaigns
(
(HELENA, Mont.) — Montana Conservation Voters released the following statement from Executive Director Ben Super in response to the results of the 2025 municipal elections across Montana:
“We extend our congratulations and gratitude to every candidate who stepped up to serve their communities, and to the Montanans who made their voices heard at the ballot box. Local leaders make decisions that directly impact the places we live, work, and explore — from protecting our parks and trails to improving the air we breathe and the water we drink. The races our endorsed candidates won in the Billings and Kalispell mayoral contests were exceptionally close, underscoring a powerful truth: every vote truly counts.”
The MCV Action Fund knocked on 6,464 doors to support our endorsed candidates and engage Montanans in one-on-one conversations about the issues that matter most to our communities.
We’re proud to see voters across the state support leaders who share our vision for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Montana. MCV looks forward to partnering with these local officials to advance conservation priorities, strengthen energy diversity, and ensure that our public lands and communities thrive for generations to come.”
Across the state, pro-conservation majorities were protected or expanded in several key cities, including Billings, Bozeman, Livingston, Missoula, and Whitefish.
The following MCV-endorsed candidates won their elections:
