MCV Announces Second Round of Legislative Candidate Endorsements 

MCV Action Fund backs 12 more candidates ahead of  the June 7 Primary 

(HELENA, Mont.) – The Montana Conservation Voters Action Fund, MCV’s affiliated Political Action Committee, announced its second round of endorsements for 12 additional conservation champions running for the legislature in 2022. That brings the total number of MCV endorsed candidates to 33, including last month’s endorsements. 

Electing conservation champions to the legislature has never been more important as we face the threat of an anti-conservation supermajority,” said MCV Executive Director Whitney Tawney. “These 12 candidates have the dedication and proven values to keep Montana’s public lands and wildlife public and our air and water clean. We know they will make a positive difference at the Capitol come next session.” 

The MCV’s independent PAC board endorsed the following candidates:

  • Kathy Kelker – Billings – SD 24

State Representatives:

  • Barbara Bessette – Great Falls – HD 24 
  • Carole Boerner – Billings – HD 51

  • Eric Matthews – Bozeman – HD 66
  • Jenna Martin – Billings – HD 52
  • Elizabeth Marum – Belgrade – HD 67
  • Jennifer Merecki – Billings – HD 48
