Conservation group celebrates infrastructure investments and looks to budget process
(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Montana Conservation Voters released the following statement from Executive Director Whitney Tawney in response to the U.S. Senate passing the bipartisan infrastructure bill:
“This is a historic bipartisan investment in infrastructure and will serve Montana now and for future generations. Montanans commend Senator Tester’s leadership working across the aisle to address some of our nation’s most pressing challenges. We look forward to working with him during the budget process to further make the investments needed to build Montana’s renewable energy economy and avert the dire consequences that climate change is already having on our state. We truly wish Senator Daines would have joined the vast majority of his colleagues in supporting this common sense investment in Montana’s future, but again he has chosen hyper-partisan politics over his own state’s best interest.”
