MCV Endorses Terry Cunningham for Bozeman Mayor

(BOZEMAN, Mont.)  – The Montana Conservation Voters Action Fund, MCV’s affiliated Political Action Committee, today announced its endorsements of Terry Cunningham for Bozeman City Mayor.

“Bozeman sits at the crossroads of Montana’s outdoor recreation economy, but also the challenges we face with rapidly increasing growth,” said MCV Executive Director Whitney Tawney. “Terry Cunningham is the obvious choice for protecting our public lands and keeping Bozeman’s outdoor values front and center.”

Terry Cunningham has consistently shown to be one of the most effective Montana elected officials in municipal government when it comes to delivering on our conservation values. He led the way to protect Bozeman’s wetlands, expanded the curbside recycling program through a free 90-day incentive trial for new customers and served on the Big Sky Energy Collaborative working group to increase NorthWestern Energy’s commitment to renewable energy sources.

“I am thrilled to learn that Montana Conservation Voters have recognized my work in preserving critical land and habitat in the face of development pressure. From creating a county-wide Sensitive Land Study to instituting a rewrite of our city code to protect area wetlands, I have been fighting for those issues that most concern MCV members. As Mayor, I will continue to prioritize conservation-oriented policies and initiatives,” said Commissioner Terry Cunningham.

MCV’s independent PAC board made this endorsement. More information about the candidate can be found at terryforbozeman.com.
