Conservation group celebrates Stone-Manning’s nomination to lead public lands agency
(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Montana Conservation Voters released the following statement from Executive Director Whitney Tawney in response to Tracy Stone-Manning’s U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee nomination hearing:
“There’s no better person to lead the Bureau of Land Management than Tracy Stone-Manning. As a Montanan, she understands the importance of our public lands to the economy and how to partner with tribal nations. After four and a half years without a Senate confirmed leader, we look forward to her swift confirmation and we hope Senator Daines sees that a vote for Tracy is a vote for the public lands he claims to love.”
Senator Steve Daines supported the unlawful, extremely partisan, anti-public lands radical William Perry Pendley heading the Bureau of Land Management.
