MCV to Zinke: ‘not fit to hold any leadership position’

New report finds Zinke repeatedly misused political position and lied to ethics officials while Interior Secretary

(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Montana Conservation Voters released the following statement from Executive Director Whitney Tawney in response to a new U.S. Interior Department Inspector General report that found former U.S. Interior Secretary and now U.S. Congressional candidate Ryan Zinke misused his position to advance a development project in Whitefish, Montana:

“It’s no surprise Ryan Zinke put himself above the rule of law again. No amount of gaslighting can deny what the Trump appointed Investigator General found. Zinke continues to let down Montanans and our public lands and today’s news confirms that. It’s clear Zinke is not fit to hold any leadership position in the Big Sky State or anywhere else.”
