New ad from Montana Outdoor Values Action Fund challenges Tim Sheehy’s position on ending protections for and access to public lands

(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – The Montana Outdoor Values Action Fund, the federal super political action committee of Montana Conservation Voters, today released a new television ad challenging U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy’s position on ending protections for Montana’s public lands.

The 30-second spot, titled “No Access” decries the loss of access to public lands because of hobby ranches like Sheehy’s and his promise to end protections for federal public lands.

“It is flagrantly apparent that Tim Sheehy does not understand the value of Montana’s public lands, Montana’s outdoor way of life or the people of this great state,” said MCV’s Executive Director Whitney Tawney. “Our public lands are Montana’s greatest legacy because it doesn’t matter how much money you have in your wallet – current protections give Montanans of all stripes access to hunt, fish, hike and be outdoors. We need proven leaders like Senator Jon Tester to ensure the next generation of Montana kids have the right to be on the public lands and waters we cherish.”

The ad is available online HERE.

“No access. No Hunting. That’s the story of Tim Sheehy’s luxury hobby ranch. Sheehy teamed up with out-of-state billionaires to block your access so he could charge rich tourists $12,500 for ‘prime elk hunting,’” the ad says.

The Montana Outdoor Values Action Fund has endorsed Senator Tester in his reelection bid to the U.S. Senate.
