MCV launches new podcast to keep Montanans informed, engaged in conservation

“MCVcast” features interviews, headlines & perspective

(BILLINGS, Mont.) – In its quest to seek new ways to reach and engage all Montanans, Montana Conservation Voters today announced the release of its new podcast, MCVcast.

The first 27-minute episode is available online HERE.

“The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed our way of life, but it certainly hasn’t slowed down the big stories affecting our clean air, our clean water and our public lands—and it’s our responsibility to double-down on making sure these critical stories don’t slip through the cracks,” said MCV Executive Director Aaron Murphy. MCVcast will keep listeners up to speed on what’s happening in our state and how to empower them with ways to keep fighting for conservation.”

Episode 1 of MCVcast features a discussion about U.S. Senator Steve Daines’ quiet effort to suspend the source of funding for popular public lands funding (the Land and Water Conservation Fund), a summary of changes to Montana’s June 2 Primary Election, and an interview about “social distancing recreation” with E.J. Porth of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust.

MCV plans to include a review of the most pressing conservation news, a discussion and a guest interview in each episode.

All episodes will also be available on MCV’s new YouTube channel, which will include links to documents and relevant news stories.
