Montana Conservation Voters has a record of supporting pro-conservation candidates for more than 25 years. We have elected conservation leaders to all levels of government — from city councils to Congress, and everything in-between. An MCV endorsement ultimately signals to Montana voters that a candidate is a demonstrated conservation champion who will fight to protect our clean air, clean water, public lands, and democracy.

MCV is proud to begin announcing endorsements for the 2026 election, with more to come.

All endorsement decision are made by MCV’s independent Political Action Committee, the MCV Action Fund, which is committed to supporting candidates who prioritize environmental stewardship. Learn more about these early endorsements below.

Judge Amy Eddy for Montana Supreme Court

Judge Amy Eddy has served on the Eleventh Judicial District Court in Flathead County since 2015 and is widely respected for her thoughtful, steady approach to the law. As a candidate for the Montana Supreme Court, she brings a deep commitment to protecting individual freedoms, upholding the Montana Constitution, and ensuring fairness and justice for all Montanans.

Ryan Busse for MT-1 Congressional District

MCV is proud to formally endorse Ryan Busse for Montana’s First Congressional District. As a lifelong outdoorsman and former MCV Board Chair, Busse is the most experienced conservation champion in the race. His deep-rooted commitment to protecting our public lands, clean air, and clean water is not just a platform, it’s a proven track record. From leading the fight to save the Badger-Two Medicine Area to supporting the historic Held v. Montana youth climate case, Ryan has the backbone to stand up to special interests and ensure our outdoor heritage remains a right for all, not just the wealthy few.

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Montana Conservation Voters, a trusted voice for protecting our lands, waters, and outdoor heritage. MCV has long championed conservation and leaders who put Montana first. This election is pivotal. So much is on the line, and it will take all of us working together to defend these values and win.”

Seth Bodnar for U.S. Senate

Montana Conservation Voters proudly endorses Independent Seth Bodnar for the U.S. Senate to protect our public lands, clean air, and outdoor way of life. As a former Green Beret and President of the University of Montana, Bodnar brings pragmatic, independent leadership and will answer directly to Montanans rather than out-of-state special interests.

“I’m proud to earn the endorsement of Montana Conservation Voters. As Montana’s Independent voice in the U.S. Senate, I will always defend our public lands and our outdoor way of life. Montana’s public lands, clean air, and clean water are a birthright that belongs to all of us. Too often, our broken political system has allowed outside interests and Washington insiders to override the voices of Montanans in decisions about our own communities. As an Independent, I answer only to Montana, and I will always stand behind the science and fight any effort to weaken the protections that keep our communities healthy and our wild places intact.”
