Montana gains a second congressional seat ‘doubling our opportunities’ for conservation in the U.S. House

MCV welcomes additional congressional seat

(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Montana Conservation Voters released the following statement from Executive Director Whitney Tawney after the U.S. Census Bureau announced Montana will gain an additional congressional seat in 2023:

“Today we’re celebrating with all Montanans as we regain a second congressional seat for Big Sky Country, effectively doubling our opportunities for protecting clean air, clean water, public lands and our communities in the U.S. House of Representatives. We’re excited to get to work pursuing a conservation majority for our congressional delegation.”
