MCV Action Fund Endorses Shaw, Dominguez in Billings City Council

 

(BILLINGS, Mont.)  – The Montana Conservation Voters Action Fund (MCVAF), which works to elect pro-conservation candidates, today announced its endorsements of candidates Kendra Shaw and Carmelita Dominguez for the Billings City Council.

Shaw is a Ward 1 candidate for Billings City Council.  Dominguez is a candidate for Ward 4. Both wards will have primary elections on Tuesday, September 10. The MCV Action Fund encourages MCV members to vote via absentee ballot early before September 10.

“The people of Billings will be well served to have these inspiring candidates serving them on the City Council,” said Brandon DeMars, MCV’s Action Fund Chair. “Both Kendra and Carmelita will be key allies in our commitment to improving the quality of life in Billings by connecting trails, improving our parks, and reducing the city’s carbon impact.”

Kendra Shaw is a mother and a small business owner who is running to make Billings a more desirable place to live by improving the quality of life. Her website is kendrashaw.com.

Carmelita Dominguez is a healthcare business professional who understands that improving outdoor recreation opportunities in Billings will increase economic opportunities. Her campaign Faceboook page is facebook.com/carmelitaforcouncil.

Both candidates would be critical to improving the Billings trail network and to reforming the city’s Energy and Conservation Commission.
