MCV Action Fund Releases Statewide TV Ad Taking Issue with Gianforte’s Record

Watch “Land,” featuring Montana small business owner, HERE

(BILLINGS, Mont.) – The Montana Conservation Voters Congressional Action Fund, the affiliated state political action committee of Montana Conservation Voters, today released a new television ad taking issue with Congressman Greg Gianforte’s record of “protecting himself, not public lands,” as the Congressman vies to become Montana’s next Governor.

The 30-second spot, titled “Land,” features John, a Montana small business owner who depends on access to public lands.

The ad is available online HERE.

“I run a small business here in Montana. But Greg Gianforte doesn’t care about that,” John states in the ad. “In Washington, he wrote bills to strip protections from nearly 700,000 acres of public lands….He sued the state to take away your rights to access a popular fishing site just because he didn’t like seeing regular folks near his giant mansion on the edge of the river.”

“Land” is backed up by a 6-figure buy that will run statewide on broadcast and cable television.

“Congressman Gianforte sued Montanans, then supported a platform that supports transferring our public lands, then tried to undo protections for public lands without taking public input, and now he thinks qualified to be Montana’s governor? Hardly. The MCV Action Fund will always stand guard against politicians who look out for themselves and not what’s best for our state and the public land we all own.”

Backup documentation for “Land” is available online HERE.

The MCV Action fund has endorsed Lieutenant Governor Mike Cooney, a stalwart public lands champion, in the race for Montana Governor.
