MCV Announces Two New Hires to Operations and Field Programs

Renee Kelley and Brooke Prusa will help execute the organization’s operations and on-the-ground organizing efforts.

(HELENA, Mont) – Today, Montana Conservation Voters and the MCV Education Fund announced the hires of Renee Kelley as the Operations Manager, and Brooke Prusa as the Field Coordinator.

Kelley spent her career in Montana’s public sector, including service with the State Land Board, Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, Holter Museum of Art and Montana Historical Society. In addition to degrees in History and Music from the University of Portland, she recently earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Montana.

Kelley will provide crucial operational support to the team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining human resources, financial and organizational systems.

I am thrilled to join MCV and help support our work to fight for Montana’s incomparable outdoors,” explains Kelley. “I look forward to working with this dynamic, dedicated team.

Having lived in each corner of the United States in a military family, Kelley is grateful for her Montana roots and the chance to give back.

Prusa has experience in organizing, having led teams in state and national races in Montana and Pennsylvania while working with the League of Conservation Voters. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Food Systems from Rutgers University, and she is continuing her education with a Master of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Montana.

Prusa will manage MCV’s on-the-ground advocacy and grassroots engagement efforts to further the mission to engage all Montanans about the importance of conservation issues.

Montana is a place I am honored to now call home,” said Prusa. “I grew up in a state where the closest thing we had to a mountain proudly boasted the name ‘rock’ (Starved Rock, elevation 572 ft). Now, I am glad to be working with an organization whose mission is to conserve the beauty and uniqueness of Montana.”

We’re delighted to have both Renee and Brooke join Team MCV,” said Whitney Tawney, the Executive Director of Montana Conservation Voters. “Both new team members bring an enormous amount of passion for protecting Montana’s best outdoor spaces and we look forward to putting their t skills to work for the Treasure State.
