Conservation group encourages Montanans to support local efforts in response to historic flooding

(BOZEMAN, Mont.) – Montana Conservation Voters today released the following statement from Executive Director Whitney Tawney in response to historic flooding and dangerously high water levels in the Yellowstone, Stillwater, Gallatin, and other rivers:

“We are devastated by the severe flooding in many of Montana’s communities that is leaving our friends and neighbors without water, food or shelter. Our hearts go out to all those impacted. These communities will need our support today and for many months to come as they rebuild. MCV will continue to prioritize fighting for these communities and for efforts to combat climate change to prevent future disasters and protect the people and places of Montana for generations to come.”
