MCV endorses Raph Graybill for Attorney General

(BILLINGS, Mont.)  – The Montana Conservation Voters Action Fund, MCV’s Political Action Committee, today announced its endorsement of Raph Graybill for Montana Attorney General.

“Montana Conservation Voters is excited to support Raph Graybill in his campaign for Montana Attorney General, ” said MCV Deputy Director Whitney Tawney. “Our state needs new elected leaders to fight for our conservation values. Raph, with his significant experience as a public servant, is the strongest chance of putting a conservation champion in the Attorney General’s office.”

As Chief Legal Counsel for Governor Steve Bullock, Graybill protected Montana’s public lands and wildlife habitat by taking the state’s current Attorney General to court when he and the rest of the Montana Land Board tried to block the Horse Creek conservation easement. Montana’s Attorney General is one of five elected officeholders who make up the Land Board.

“The Montana Constitution guarantees us a right to a clean and healthful environment,” Graybill said. “It is the Attorney General’s job to defend our state constitution and to make sure our rights have meaning. This is what’s at stake in the 2020 election. As your Attorney General, I will always defend Montanans’ access to public lands, hold elected officials accountable to the Montana Constitution, and ensure our natural resources and state trust lands are protected.”

The endorsement was made by MCV’s independent PAC board. All candidates from all political parties were invited to participate in the endorsement process.
