Reports to: MCV Field Coordinator & MCV Political Director

Montana Conservation Voters seek well-organized Canvassers to engage voters one-on-one in Great Falls about a variety of vital issues important to protecting Montana as the Last Best Place. This boots-on-the-ground role requires passion, organization and the ability to work on one’s own.

WHO WE ARE
Montana Conservation Voters is a nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)4 membership organization whose mission is to protect our climate, our clean air and water, our public lands, our communities and future generations by supporting leaders who fight for conservation and by holding accountable leaders who do not.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
MCV is excited to join forces with four other Montana organizations (Montana AFL-CIO, Montana Federation of Public Employees, Big Sky 55+ and Wild Montana Action Fund) on a collaborative project in Cascade County to talk with voters about the issues that matter most to them. The Great Falls Community Project (GFCP) will provide voters with information on economic, conservation, and seniors’ issues by focusing on one-on-one conversations. Our project will largely hinge on outreach to the general public, but will also include a robust member engagement program to continue to build our organizational membership and presence.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Canvassers should expect to travel within the Great Falls area. Canvassers will work outside at least 80% of their workday and be on their feet walking for at least 80% of each work shift.

Recruiting staff who better reflect Montana is a priority for MCV and we encourage applicants from all cultures, races, ethnicities, geographies, and all other identities. Women, people of color, individuals with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
