Protect Our Great Outdoors and Montana Veterans

Lawmakers face an important choice whether to support the people of Montana and our veterans or to rob them.

We have one chance to protect the places we hike and hunt and support the heroes who served our country abroad.  Senate Bill 442 will restore voter-approved funding to Montana’s public lands and wildlife, restore and boost an important program that helps Veterans and surviving spouses pay their property taxes, and support other important needs including mental health and county roads. The alternative is House Bill 669 which simply robs us blind.

Senate Bill 442 recently passed the Senate 49-1, and now we need to help get it though the House and across the finish line.

Contact your representative today and ask them to vote YES on Senate Bill 442

Hear What Veterans Have to Say

We don’t understand why a Montana lawmaker would want to be caught on the wrong side of this one. Because in this state if you’re working against ranchers, hunters, hikers, horseback riders, anglers, veterans, and folks who like good rural roads, you probably ought to rethink your priorities.

Rep. Mercer’s HB669, instead fleeces Montanans of funding intended to support why we love living here. It takes important benefits away from Montana veterans. It robs our parks and would leave our public trail infrastructure crumbling. And, it fails to invest in rural Montana. No thanks. Tell your legislator to oppose HB669 and to get behind SB442.
